Cisplatin Indications

- common or metastatic testicular cancer;
- common or metastatic ovarian cancer;
- common or metastatic bladder cancer;
- distributed or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck;
- common or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer;
- common or metastatic small cell lung cancer;
- treatment of cervical tumors in combination with radiotherapy.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to cisplatin or to other drugs containing platinum or any component of the drug in the history.
Renal impairment (creatinine clearance <60 ml / min).
Dehydration of the body (pre- and post-hydration is required to prevent the development of severe renal impairment).
Inhibition of bone marrow function.
Hearing impairment
Neuropathy caused by cisplatin treatment.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Use with a vaccine against yellow fever and prevention of phenytoin therapy.

Dosage & Administration

Before use it is necessary to dilute in aseptic conditions.

When preparing and administering a solution for infusion, it is not possible to use medical products containing parts of aluminum if they are in contact with the drug (this applies to systems for intravenous infusions, needles, catheters, syringes).

Needed amount of concentrate for solution for infusion, calculated according to the given recommendations, dilute 1-2 l of 0.9% solution of sodium chloride or a mixture of 0.9% solution of sodium chloride and 5% glucose solution in a ratio of 1: 1 (in such solution the concentration sodium chloride is 0.45%, and glucose - 2.5%).
