Cytosar Indications
Achievement and support of remission in acute non-limb limb leukemia in adults and children.
Treatment of other types of leukemia, such as acute lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myeloblastic leukemia (blast crisis).
Prevention or treatment of leukemic meningitis intrathecally in the form of monotherapy or in combination with other drugs (methotrexate, hydrocortisone).
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Drug oppression of bone marrow activity (in terms of risk assessment and expected benefits).
During pregnancy, the drug should be administered only after an assessment of the risks and expected benefits
Dosage & Administration
It should only be prescribed by a physician experienced in the management of antitumor therapy.
The drug should be used in combination with other cytotoxic agents using different dosing regimens.
It can be administered by intravenous infusion or by injection, subcutaneously or intrathecally.
