Hydroxycarbamide Indications
Chronic myelogenous leukemia, melanoma, bronchial carcinoma
In combination with radiotherapy, the drug is recommended for the treatment of malignant squamous cell tumors of the head and neck, as well as with choriocarcinoma of the uterus.
Contradictions
Patients with depressed function of bone marrow (the content of leukocytes is less than 2.5'109 / l, platelets less than 100'109 / l) or in the presence of severe anemia. Medication Hydroxyurea must be used with caution in patients who have recently received intensive radiation therapy or chemotherapy with other cytotoxic drugs.
Dosage & Administration
All dose regimens should be based on the actual or ideal weight of the patient's body (whichever is the lower).
Concomitant use of the drug with other myelosuppressive agents may require dose adjustments
