Travel sickness pills Indications
Prevention and elimination of manifestations of sea and air sickness (nausea, vomiting).
Nausea / vomiting of different origin, including unrestrained vomiting of pregnancy.
Vertigo (dizziness), including: Meniere's syndrome.
Dosage & Administration
Inside, regardless of meals.
To prevent nausea and vomiting at the sea / air sickness.
Adults: 50 mg (1 tab.) For 30-60 minutes. before the trip, and then as necessary 50-100 mg every 4-6 hours, but not more than 400 mg / day.
Babies: 2-6 years - 12.5-25 mg (. 1 / 4-1 / 2 tablets) every 6-8 hours as needed, but not more than 75 mg / day.
6-12 years - 25-50 mg (. 1 / Table 2-1) every 6-8 hours as needed, but not more than 150 mg / day.
When vertigo (including with Meniere's syndrome), nausea / vomiting, uncontrolled vomiting during pregnancy.
Adults: 50-100 mg (1-2 tablets.) Every 4-6 hours as needed, without exceeding the maximum daily dose of 400 mg (see Table 8.).
Dimenhydrinate may cause drowsiness, so you can not do the job that requires attention and speed of reaction (eg, driving) while taking the drug.
Elderly patients: the initial dose - 25 mg (1/2 tab.).
Efficacy and safety in infants and children up to 2 years have not been established.
At liver failure - dose should be reduced by half.
Contradictions
Avoid drinking alcohol in the treatment of dimenhydrinate.
The drug is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding, because of the risk of side effects such as agitation or irritability infants.
