Metotab Indications

Supportive therapy for acute lymphocytic leukemia.

Widespread and common forms of vulgar psoriasis, especially plaque type, in adult patients with ineffectiveness of traditional therapy, such as phototherapy, PUVA therapy and the use of retinoids.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to methotrexate or to other components of the drug.
Significant disorders of the liver function (bilirubin level> 85.5 μmol / l).
Abuse of alcohol.
Renal impairment (creatinine clearance <20 ml / min).
There are violations of the system of hematopoiesis (including bone marrow hypoplasia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, or severe anemia).
Severe, acute or chronic infections (such as tuberculosis or HIV), immunodeficiency states.
Ulcers of the oral cavity or gastrointestinal tract.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Vaccination with live vaccines during methotrexate treatment.

Dosage & Administration

Treatment with Metotab should be performed under the supervision of a doctor-oncologist, dermatologist or rheumatologist, as well as a therapist. Metotab to take 1 time a week. The doctor may indicate on the prescription the day of taking the drug.

Pills swallow without chewing, 1 hour before or after 1.5-2 hours after taking food.
