Nuropentine Indications
Epilepsy.
As additional therapy in the treatment of partial seizures with secondary generalization or without in adults and children aged 6 years.
As monotherapy in the treatment of partial seizures with secondary generalization or without in adults and children aged 12 years.
Treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain such as painful diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia in adults.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration.
Gabapentin can be taken regardless of meals. Capsule should be swallowed whole, drinking plenty of fluids (water glass).
Epilepsy
Epilepsy typically requires long-term therapy. The dosage determined by the physician according to individual tolerance and efficacy. When there is a need for dose reduction, discontinuation, replace it with an alternative drug, reduced dosage should be gradually (minimum one week).
Adults and children over 12 years
The effective dose of gabapentin ranged from 900 to 3600 mg per day (divided into 3 doses)
Children aged 6 to 12 years
The treatment begins with doses of 10-15 mg / kg / day. The effective dose is 25-35 mg / kg / day achieved by titration for about 3 days. The daily dose is divided into three stages, the maximum interval between doses of the drug - less than 12 hours.
