Caputiasid Indications
Treatment of hypertension.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, ACE inhibitors, thiazides and other sulfonamide derivatives; tendency to develop angioedema (including history after using ACE inhibitors, hereditary / idiopathic);
significant renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min), and acute inflammation of the kidney;
renal artery stenosis (bilateral or unilateral in the case of single kidney), with the condition after kidney transplant; stenosis of the aortic or mitral valve;
abnormal liver function; collagenoses; Primary hyperaldosteronism; hypokalemia, hyponatremia, especially in combination with hypovolemia; hypercalcemia; gout.
Dosage & Administration
Caputiasid should be taken one hour before a meal, as if food absorbability of the drug decreases.
Doses should be chosen individually according to clinical disease.
The initial dose is ½ tablet (25 mg of captopril and hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg) 1 every day. If necessary, strengthening hypotensive effect of Caputiasid dose can be increased to 1 tablet (50 mg captopril and 12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide) daily. Expected full therapeutic effect occurs 6-8 weeks after starting treatment.
