Zopercin Indications
Adults, the elderly:
- Lower respiratory tract infections (including nosocomial pneumonia)
- Uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis)
- Uncomplicated and complicated infections of the skin and soft tissues (abscess, infected trophic ulcers)
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Bacterial septicemia
- In combination with aminoglycosides used in the treatment of patients with fever that occurred against the backdrop of neutropenia
In children aged 2 years to 12 years:
- In combination with aminoglycosides used in the treatment of patients with fever that neutropenia occurred against the background;
- Intra-abdominal infections, including complicated forms of acute appendicitis: a widespread diffuse peritonitis.
Mixed infections (caused by gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic flora).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics or inhibitors of beta-lactamases.
Dosage & Administration
Before using the drug to be done skin test for tolerance. Zopertcin® must enter intravenously for about 20-30 minutes or intravenous bolus slowly for at least 3-5 minutes.
