Valodip Indications

Essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not regulated by means of monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, dihydropyridine derivatives or to any of the excipients of the drug; severe hepatic impairment, biliary cirrhosis or cholestasis, severe renal impairment (glomerular filtration rate (GFR) <30 mg / min / 1.73 m2); pregnant women or women who plan to become pregnant (see. "Use during pregnancy and lactation").

Also, the drug is contraindicated in patients who are on dialysis.

Due to the composition of the drug amlodipine is contraindicated in patients with: obstruction output tract of the left ventricle (aortic stenosis such as severe); hemodynamically unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction.

Dosage & Administration

Patients whose blood pressure is not adequately regulated mono-drugs amlodipine or valsartan can be used combined therapy with Valodip. The recommended dose - 1 tablet per day. Valodip tablets can be taken regardless of meals, washed down with a little water.

Patients taking valsartan and amlodipine alone, can be assigned Valodip containing the same dose components.

Before using combinations recommended dose individually choose the individual components (ie amplodypinu and valsartan). If the clinical need can consider direct replacement monotherapy in fixed-dose combination.

The maximum daily dose - 1 tablet Valodipu 5 mg / 80 mg or 1 tablet Valodipu 5 mg / 160 mg or 1 tablet Valodipu 10 mg / 160 mg (the maximum allowable dose of the drug - 10 mg of amlodipine, valsartan 320 mg).
