Utrogestan Indications
Disorders caused by deficiency of progesterone.
Oral: premenstrual syndrome, menstrual irregularities (dizovulyatsiya, anovulation), fibrocystic breast disease, menopause (in combination with estrogen therapy), infertility during the luteal insufficiency, prevention of habitual miscarriage or threatened miscarriage on the background of luteal insufficiency, danger of premature delivery.
Intravaginal use: reducing the possibility of fertilization at a primary or secondary infertility when a partial or complete luteal insufficiency (dizovulyatsiya, luteal phase support during preparation for in vitro fertilization, egg donation program); prevention of habitual miscarriage or threatened miscarriage on the background of luteal insufficiency.
Dosage & Administration
The duration of the application depends on the nature of the disease.
Ingestion
In most cases, the average daily dose is 200-300 mg in two divided doses (200 mg in the evening, before bedtime and 100 mg in the morning - if necessary).
In luteal phase insufficiency (premenstrual syndrome, fibrocystic breast disease, menstrual disorders, premenopausal) take over 10 days (from 17 th to 26 th day of the cycle).
With hormone replacement therapy during menopause because the estrogen alone is not recommended, progesterone is used as a supplement in the last 2 weeks of each course of therapy, which occur after a 1-week replacement therapy, in which the possible withdrawal bleeding.
With the threat of premature birth is prescribed 400 mg utrozhestan every 6-8 hours until symptoms disappear. The effective dose and frequency of application is determined individually, depending on the clinical manifestations of preterm labor. Vaginal
Capsules are inserted deep into the vagina.

Contradictions
