Nebival Indications

Essential hypertension. Chronic heart failure as an adjunct to standard methods of treatment in patients over the age of 70 years.

Dosage & Administration

Adult patients takr one tablet (5 mg nebivolol) per day, if possible at the same time. The drug can be taken with food. The hypotensive effect occurs within 1-2 weeks of treatment, but sometimes the optimal effect is observed only after 4 weeks. Nebival can be used as monotherapy, or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. Additional antihypertensive effect was detected when it is combined with hydrochlorothiazide 12.5-25 mg.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Liver failure or liver dysfunction, acute heart failure; hypotension (systolic blood pressure <90 mm Hg..); cardiogenic shock or episodes of heart failure decompensation requiring in / in the introduction of drugs with positive inotropic effect; bradycardia (heart rate <60 beats / min before the start of treatment.); syndrome sick sinus including sinuauricular blockade; AV-block II-III degree (without pacemaker); Asthma or a history of bronchospasm; untreated pheochromocytoma; metabolic acidosis; severe peripheral circulatory disorders.
