Azitrox INDICATIONS
- infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract: bacterial pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media
- infectious diseases of the lower respiratory tract: bacterial bronchitis, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, community acquired pneumonia
- infectious diseases of the skin and soft tissue: chronic erythema migrans (I stage of Lyme disease), erysipelas, impetigo and secondary pyoderma
- Sexually transmitted infections by: uncomplicated and complicated urethritis / cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis
APPLICATION
Adults and children weighing up to 45 kg
Azithromycin take one time a day for at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating.
dose is 1 500 mg for 3 days once a day in infectious diseases of respiratory tract infections and skin and soft tissue (with the exception of chronic erythema migrans).
Chronic erythema migrans: 1 day - 1 g (2 tablets of 500 mg per one dose), the 2nd to 5th day - 500 mg / day (one tablet of 500 mg).
Uncomplicated and complicated urethritis / cervicitis: single 1 g (2 tablets of 500 mg). Course dose - 1 g
Procedure in case of missing the dose
The missed dose should be taken as soon as possible and take the next dose at intervals of 24 hours.
kidney failure
Patients with minor renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance of> 40 ml / min) no need to change dosage. No studies on the use of the drug in patients with creatinine clearance <40 mL / min. Accordingly, it should be used with caution in these patients azithromycin.
Liver failure
Since azithromycin is metabolised in the liver and excreted in the bile, the drug should not be used in patients with severe liver disease.
Corrected dose for elderly patients is not required.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, any other component of the preparation or other macrolide antibiotics and ketolidnym. Due to the theoretical possibility of ergotism, azithromycin should not be administered concurrently with derivatives horns. Children weighing up to 45 kg.
