Tovardiv Indications
Treatment and prevention of recurrences of swelling and / or effusion caused by heart failure.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, other sulfonylurea drugs and the excipients. Renal failure with anuria. Hepatic coma or prekomy. Hypotension. Hypovolemia. Hyponatremia. Hypokalemia. Significant urination disorders, eg, due to hypertrophy of the prostate.
Dosage & Administration
Adults. Treatment start applying daily dose of 5 mg torasemide equal to ½ tablets of the drug Toradiv. Of course, this dose is considered to be supportive. If the daily dose of 5 mg is insufficient, then apply a daily dose of 10 mg torasemide, which prescribed a daily basis. Depending on the severity of the patient's daily dose may be increased to 20 mg torasemide. The maximum daily dose - 40 mg. The tablets are fasting, do not chew and drink a small amount of liquid. The duration of treatment depends on the disease.
Patients with hepatic insufficiency. Treatment of such patients should be done with caution as possible torasemide increased concentration in plasma. Elderly patients. Special selection of dose is required.
