Tetracyclin HYDROCHLORIDE Indications
Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by susceptible to the drug by microorganisms:
bronchitis, pneumonia, suppurative pleurisy, subacute bacterial endocarditis, bacterial and amebic dysentery, whooping cough, sore throat, scarlet fever, gonorrhea, brucellosis, tularemia, typhus and relapsing fever, psytakoz, psittacosis , infections of the biliary and urinary tracts, purulent meningitis, purulent infections of the skin and soft tissues, cholera.
Prophylaxis of postoperative infections.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the drug and the related antibiotics, local anesthetics (lidocaine, procaine); fungal disease, systemic lupus erythematosus. The drug is not administered to mothers during lactation and children under 12; patients with liver and kidney with severe functional impairment.
Cases of benign intracranial hypertension with concomitant use of tetracyclines with vitamin A or retinoids, so their concomitant use should be contraindicated.
Dosage and administration
Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years. Usually a single dose of 200 mg (2 tablets) every 6 hours. In severe infections, the dose may be increased to 500 mg every six hours.
