Dosage & Administration
The recommended dose is for adults, including the elderly
Recommended therapy: 1 drop in the affected eye 1 time per day. The optimal effect is achieved when using the drug in the evening.
The drug should not be used more than once a day, as it is shown that more frequent use reduces the effectiveness of reducing intraocular pressure.
If a dose is missed, treatment should be continued, taking the next dose at the usual time. As with any eye drops, it is recommended to press the lacrimal sac in the area of the medial corner of the eye (occlusion of the lacrimal points) for 1 minute to reduce possible systemic absorption during instillation. This must be done every time, immediately after instillation.
Before instilling eye drops, contact lenses should be removed and reinserted after 15 minutes.
When using several topical ophthalmic agents, in addition to latanoprost, they should be used with an interval of at least 5 minutes.
