Postinor Indications
Emergency (postcoital) contraception within 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse or use a failed contraceptive method.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance (levonorgestrel) or to any of the excipients.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is used orally.
The recommended dose is 2 tablets.
The first pill be taken immediately, as soon as possible (and no later than 72 hours) after unprotected intercourse.
The second tablet should be taken 12 hours after the first pill.
If within 3 hours after taking either pill vomiting occurs, you should take another (third) pill immediately.
Postinor can be used in any phase of the menstrual cycle in the absence of delays menstrual bleeding.
After using emergency contraception it is recommended to use a local barrier method (condoms, cervical cap) before the next menstruation.
The use of Postinor is not a contraindication for continuation of regular hormonal contraception.
