Oxiliten Indications
The treatment of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Short-term treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including sprains and other soft tissue injuries.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to tenoxicam to other components of the drug to ibuprofen, aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria);
- severe cardiac, hepatic and renal failure; active peptic ulcers, bleeding from the digestive tract in the acute stage, ulcers or bleeding in history (two or more episodes of severe established ulceration or bleeding);
- gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation (history) associated with previous use of NSAIDs.
Dosage & Administration
The tablet taken orally, drinking liquid, preferably with meals or after meals.
Adults: The recommended dose - 1 tablet (20 mg) 1 every day at the same time every day.
Do not exceed the recommended doses, because it does not provide a significant therapeutic effect, but at the same time increases the risk of side effects.
In acute diseases of the musculoskeletal term treatment is usually more than 7 days, but in severe cases, the reception can be extended to a maximum of 14 days.
Elderly patients: Oxiliten, like other NSAIDs should be used with caution because of a lower tolerance to side effects than younger patients.
