Impaired memory, reduced concentration, and emotional activity; asthenic and anxious-neurotic condition, anxiety, fear, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorder; in the elderly - insomnia, night restlessness; children - stuttering, tics, enuresis.
For the prevention of anxiety disorders that arise before surgery and painful diagnostic examination; as an adjunct in the treatment of alcoholism.
Meniere disease, vertigo associated with vestibular dysfunction; prevention of motion sickness.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is taken orally before a meal. The course of treatment is 4-6 weeks.
In adults and children aged 14 years are used 250-500 mg (1-2 tablets of 250 mg) 3 times a day, if necessary, increase the dose to a maximum of - 2.5 grams (10 tablets of 250 mg) per day.
Children aged 3-4 years - 100 mg (1 tablet of 100 mg) 2 times a day; 5-6 years - 100 mg 2-3 times a day; 7-10 years - 100 mg 3-4 times a day; 11-14 - 200-250 mg (two 100 mg tablets or one tablet of 250 mg) 2-3 times a day.
The highest single dose: for children up to 6 years - 100 mg, 7-10 years - 200 mg 11-14 years - 300 mg, for adults and children over 14 years - 750 mg (3 tablets of 250 mg) for persons over 60 years - 500 mg (2 tablets of 250 mg).
For treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome in the first days of treatment appoint 250-500 mg 3 times daily and 750 mg at bedtime, with a gradual decrease in the daily dose to normal adult.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the drug, acute renal failure.
