Irinotecan Indications

For the treatment of common colorectal cancer:

- in combination with 5-fluorouracil and folinic acid in patients who did not receive previous chemotherapy for the treatment of a common disease;
- as monotherapy in patients for whom the treatment regimen with 5-fluorouracil has been shown to be ineffective.

Contradictions

- Chronic inflammatory bowel disease and / or bowel obstruction;
- presence in history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to irinotecan trihydrate hydrochloride or to any of the auxiliary substances of the preparation;
- breastfeeding period;
- level of bilirubin in the blood, which is 3 times the upper limit of the norm;
- severe bone marrow failure;
- general condition of the patient> 2 (according to the WHO classification);
- concomitant use of St. John's wort.

Dosage & Administration

For the treatment of adults only.

After breeding, the irinotecan solution for infusion is injected into the peripheral or central vein.
