Enalapril Indications
Arterial hypertension;
symptomatic heart failure;
asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to enalapril or another angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors or any ingredients of the formulation;
a history anginevroticheskogo edema are associated with previous treatment with ACE inhibitors;
hereditary or idiopathic angioedema;
During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Dosing & Administration
Adults. Enalapril is taken orally 1-2 times a day, regardless of meals. Dose picked individually depending on the patient's condition.
When hypertension initial dose of 5 mg once a day. With little effect, increase the dose to 10-20 mg per day in 1-2 reception. Patients with increased function of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system or cardiac decompensation with high blood pressure (BP), a considerable reduction in it after the initial dose. Therefore patients are advised to begin treatment under medical supervision. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 40 mg 1-2 reception.
When symptomatic of systemic failure and left ventricular dysfunction bezsimptomno enalapril is used in addition to diuretics, beta-blockers or cardiac glycosides. The starting dose is 2.5 mg, and then gradually increase the dose until the average maintenance dose 20 mg daily in 1 or 2 Hour (treatment effect was assessed after 4 weeks from the beginning of reception of the preparation). It is recommended to dose selection lasted for 2-4 weeks. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 40 mg 1-2 reception.
