Diclofenac Indications
· Inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, spondylitis)
· Pain syndromes of the spine
· Rheumatic diseases extraarticular soft tissues
· Acute attacks of gout
· Post-traumatic and postoperative pain syndromes, accompanied by inflammation and swelling, eg following dental or orthopedic surgery
· Gynecological diseases accompanied by pain and inflammation, eg primary dysmenorrhoea or adnexitis
· As an adjuvant in severe inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, which is accompanied by severe pain, such as farynhotonzyliti, otitis
According to the general therapeutic principles, the underlying disease should be treated by means of basic therapy. Fever alone is not an indication for the drug
Contraindications
· Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any other component of the drug
· Acute gastric ulcer or intestine; gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation
· Bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract in history related to previous treatment nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
· Active form of peptic ulcer / bleeding or recurrent peptic ulcer / bleeding history (two or more distinct episodes of established ulceration or bleeding)
· Inflammatory bowel disease (eg Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
· Kidney failure
· Liver failure
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration.
The drug should be used at the smallest effective dose for the shortest period of time, given the goal of treatment for each individual patient.
Tablets are taken with or after a meal, without chewing, drinking water.
The dose and duration of use appoints doctor depending on the nature and course of the disease, the patient's response to drug and therapeutic effect.
