Carvidex Indications
Hypertension, chronic heart failure, ischemic heart disease.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to carvedilol or other ingredients; acute and chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation;
abnormal liver function;
pregnancy and breastfeeding;
AV-block II and III degree (unless a permanent pacemaker is not installed);
bradycardia (<50 beats / min.); s
yndrome sick sinus;
sinoatrial block;
severe hypotension;
obstructive airways diseases, including asthma and bronchospasm in history;
age 18 years.
Dosage & Administration
AG. The dose is determined individually. The recommended initial dose is 12.5 mg once a day 1 (the first 7-14 days), the dose can be divided into 2 doses at 6.25 mg; Then 25 mg 1 time per day. If necessary, further dose may be increased at intervals of not less than 2 weeks, leading up to the maximum recommended dose - 50 mg 1 time per day (can be divided into 2 admission).
CHD. The dose is determined individually. The recommended starting dose of 12.5 mg 2 times a day (the first 7-14 days), followed by 25 mg 2 times a day. If necessary, you can further improve the dose at intervals of at least 2 weeks, leading to a maximum daily dose - 100 mg, divided into 2 doses.
Chronic heart failure. Dose picked individually under the supervision of a physician. The initial dose is 3.125 mg 2 times a day for 2 weeks. With good tolerability increase the dose at intervals of at least 2 weeks to 6.25 mg 2 times a day, then - 12.5 mg 2 times a day, then - to 25 mg 2 times a day. Dose is necessary to increase to the maximum well tolerated by the patient. The recommended maximum dose - 25 mg 2 times a day in chronic heart failure, severe and for patients with mild to moderate chronic heart failure with body weight <85 kg.
