Indications for use:
Apply for various fungal infections: cryptococcosis with (disease of the central nervous system, called by parasitic yeast-like organisms), including cryptococcal meningitis (inflammation of the brain caused by a parasitic yeast-like organisms);
with systemic candidiasis (a fungal disease), mucosal candidiasis, vaginal candidiasis;
for the prevention of fungal infections in patients with malignant tumors in the treatment of cytotoxic agents (substances that suppress cell division)
radiation therapy in organ transplants and in other cases when the immune system is suppressed and there is a risk of fungal infection.
Mode of application:
Administered orally and intravenously. The daily dose for both methods of using the same. Because of the long half-life (the time during which the output from the organism / 2 preparation administered dose) 1 enough to take medication every day. Conventional therapeutic doses range from 200 to 400 mg per day, with mucosal candidiasis - 50-100 mg per day; vaginal candidiasis - 150 mg.
The duration of treatment depends on the nature of disease and the effectiveness of the drug (7-14 to 30 days).
