Vinpocetine Indications
Neurology. For the treatment of various forms of cerebrovascular disease, conditions after suffering a cerebrovascular accident (stroke), vertebrobazylyarnoyi disease, vascular dementia, cerebral arteriosclerosis, post-traumatic and hypertensive encephalopathy. Contributes to the weakening of mental and neurological symptoms in cerebrovascular disease.
Ophthalmology. For the treatment of chronic vascular pathology choroid (choroid) and retina (eg thrombosis, obstruction of the central retinal artery or vein).
Otorhinolaryngology. For the treatment of senile deafness acute vascular disease, toxic (medical) lesion or lesions of different nature (idiopathic, due to noise exposure), Meniere's disease and tinnitus.
Contraindications
The acute phase of cerebral hemorrhagic stroke, severe coronary heart disease, severe arrhythmias.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Dosage & Administration
The product is only for intravenous drip infusion, administered slowly (infusion rate should not exceed 80 drops per minute!)
No drug is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and in concentrated form intravenously without dilution!
The initial daily dose for adults - 20 mg (2 capsules) dissolved in 500 ml solution for infusion. This dose may be increased to 1 mg / kg body weight per day for 2-3 days, depending on patient tolerability.
The average duration of therapy is 10-14 days, the usual daily dose - 50 mg / day (50 mg in 500 ml solution for infusion) - per 70 kg body weight.
After completion of infusion therapy is recommended to continue therapy patient VINPOCETINE drug in tablet form.
