Clarithromycin indications
- Lower respiratory tract infections (community-acquired pneumonia, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis / chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
- Cystic fibrosis (combination therapy).
- H. pyfori-associated pathology (peptic ulcer disease, chronic gastritis, non-ulcer dyspepsia).
- Urogenital infections: urethritis, chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, gynecological infections.
- MAC-AIDS infection (treatment and prevention).
It is used in case of intolerance or ineffectiveness of beta-lactams or fluoroquinolones:
- upper respiratory tract infections (acute and chronic sinusitis, otitis media, acute streptococcal tonzilofaringit);
- periodontal infection;
- uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections caused by S. aureus and S. pyogenes.
The test readings:
• coronary heart disease, acute coronary syndrome;
• bronchial asthma.
Dosing and Administration
The inside is not liquid, squeezed small amounts of liquid. Kids is administered as a suspension. The duration of treatment is 5 to 14 days; in severe infections, or in the case of oral application difficulties - the total duration of the course 10 days.
The maximum daily dose for adults - 2 Years Babies administered as a suspension in a dose of 7.5 mg / kg every 12 hours maximum daily dose -. 500 mg.
Duration of treatment - 7-10 days. In patients with renal insufficiency, CC less than 30 ml / min - 250 mg per day (once), in severe infections - 250 mg 2 r / d. The maximum duration of treatment in this patient group - 14 days.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity.
- Age up to 6 months.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Simultaneous administration of cisapride, pimozide, terfenadine, lincosamides, chloramphenicol.
