Mepenam INDICATIONS:
treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to meropenem: pneumonia including hospital; urinary tract infections; intra-abdominal infections; gynecological infections such as endometritis;
skin and soft tissue infections; meningitis; septicemia; empirical therapy with suspected bacterial infection in adults with febrile neutropenia, as monotherapy or in combination with anti-viral or anti-fungal drugs.
Mepenam is used in monotherapy or in combination therapy with other antimicrobial agents in the treatment of polymicrobial infections (such as cystic fibrosis, chronic lower respiratory infection).
APPLICATION:
The dosage and duration of therapy set depending on the type and severity of the infection status of the patient. The recommended daily dose is: in the treatment of pneumonia, urinary tract infections, gynecological infections (endometritis), skin and soft tissue infections - 500 mg every 8 hours.
