Bitomar Indications
- Treatment of edema caused by congestive heart failure, kidney disease or liver.
- Treatment of essential hypertension as monotherapy or in combined therapy with other antihypertensive agents.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or to sulfonylurea derivatives.
- Kidney failure, accompanied by anuria, violation of urination; prekomy or hepatic coma, hypotension, hypovolemia, hyponatremia, hypokalemia.
- A rare hereditary galactose intolerance, laktazna deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Dosage & Administration
Tablets should be taken without chewing and crushing not, regardless of the meal and the time of day, drinking a small amount of liquid.
Congestive heart failure.
The total starting dose is 10-20 mg 1 time per day.
In the absence of the necessary steps diuretic dose should be doubled (20-40 mg daily) to achieve the desired effect.
Chronic renal failure.
The total starting dose is 20 mg 1 time a day.
In the absence of the necessary steps diuretic dose should be doubled (40 mg daily) to achieve the desired effect.
Cirrhosis.
The total initial dose is 5.10 mg 1 time per day with combined use of drugs aldosterone antagonists or potassium-sparing diuretics. In the absence of the necessary steps diuretic dose should be doubled (10-20 mg daily) to achieve the desired effect.
Data on single use doses greater than 40 mg per day there.
Essential hypertension.
The total starting dose is 5 mg 1 time per day.
If the dosing regimen does not provide the desired reduction in blood pressure after 4-6 weeks, the dosage should be increased to 10 mg 1 time per day.
Elderly patients do not require a special selection of doses.
