Ambroxol Indications

Therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with bronchial secretion disorders and weakening of mucus promotion.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ambroxol hydrochloride and / or any other drug. In the case of rare hereditary conditions that are possible because of incompatibility with the drug excipients (section "Peculiarities of use"), the drug is contraindicated.

Dosage & Administration

If not otherwise assigned, the recommended dose is:

children aged 6 to 12 years are generally dose is 1/2 tablet 2-3 times a day (equivalent to 30-45 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day);

Adults and children over 12 years: as a rule, the dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day for the first 2-3 days (equivalent to 90 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day). Treatment continued use 1 pill 2 times per day (equivalent to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day).

If necessary therapeutic effect for adults and children over 12 years can enhance the use of 2 tablets 2 times a day (equivalent to 120 mg ambroxol hydrochloride per day).

Tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (eg water, tea or fruit juice) after meals.

Generally there are no restrictions on duration of use, but long-term therapy should be under medical supervision.

The drug should not be used longer than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor.
