Lorista HD Indications
Treatment of hypertension when losartan monotherapy or hydrochlorothiazide monotherapy is inadequate.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to losartan, substances that are derived sulfonamide (such as hydrochlorothiazide) or to any of the excipients.
- Pregnant women or women who plan to become pregnant.
- Severe renal insufficiency (ie - creatinine clearance <30 mL / min).
- Anuria.
- Severe hepatic insufficiency, cholestasis, obstructive biliary tract disease.
- Therapeutically resistant hypokalaemia or hiperkaltsemiya.
- Stand hyponatremia.
- Symptomatic hyperuricemia / gout.
- Concomitant use of aliskirenom patients with diabetes mellitus or renal impairment.
Dosage & Administration
Lorista HD can be used with other antihypertensive agents.
Tablets of the drug should be swallowed with a glass of water. Use of the drug is independent of food intake.
Hypertension
The combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide should not be used as initial therapy. If possible, it is advisable to titrate the dose of the drug (losartan and hydrochlorothiazide).
With the lack of efficacy of monotherapy components of the drug can be used directly combined preparation. The usual starting and sustaining dose for most patients is 1 tablet of the drug Lorista® H (50 mg / 12.5 mg) 1 every day. Patients who use tablets Lorista 1 H gives sufficient effect, the dose can be increased to 1 tablet Lorista HD (100 mg / 25 mg) 1 every day (in the morning).
The maximum antihypertensive effect is achieved within 3-4 weeks of treatment. The maximum recommended dose is 1 tablet of the drug Lorista HD 1 per day.
