Lercamen Indications

Essential hypertension is mild or moderate severity.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to any dihydropyridine or to any component of the drug. Women of reproductive age, if they do not use contraception. Obstruction vessels out of the left ventricle. Untreated congestive heart failure. Unstable angina. Severe hepatic dysfunction or kidney. Within 1 month after myocardial infarction. Concomitant use with: SYR strong inhibitors of 3A4, grapefruit juice and cyclosporine.

Dosage & Administration

Adults. 10 Tablets Lerkamenuâ take orally, 1 time a day, at least 15 minutes before eating. The dose recommended is 10 mg, but may be increased to 20 mg. The dosage is gradually established as the maximum antihypertensive effect may occur within 2 weeks after starting treatment. According to the study dose-effect is unlikely that with increasing doses above 20 mg per day increase the effectiveness of drug at the same time increase the risk of side effects increases.

Children. The use of lercanidipine children is not recommended because no clinical experience.
