Glevo Indications
Infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug:
1) community acquired pneumonia;
2) complicated urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis;
3) infections of skin and soft tissues;
4) chronic bacterial prostatitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones or to any ingredient of the drug. Epilepsy. Damage to tendons associated with taking fluoroquinolones.
Dosage & Administration
Levofloxacin solution should be administered by slow intravenous infusion 1-2 times a day. The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection and the sensitivity of the pathogen. Typically, after several days of treatment if the patient's condition allows, you can transfer the patient from initial intravenous to oral administration (tablets Levofloxacin 250 mg or 500 mg).
The introduction of the drug should continue for at least 48-72 hours after the disappearance of clinical signs of infection. Levofloxacin, solution for infusion is only intended for slow intravenous injection, it should be applied 1-2 times a day.
The duration of administration should be at least 30 minutes for a dose of 250 mg or less than 60 minutes for a dose of 500 mg.
