Galazolin Indications
Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion with colds, hay fever, while other allergic rhinitis, sinusitis.
To facilitate the outflow of secretions in diseases of the paranasal sinuses.
Adjunctive therapy in cases of otitis media (for removal of mucosal edema).
To facilitate rhinoscopy.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
- Do not use in patients after the removal of the pituitary or after other surgical dissection of the dura mater.
- Atrophic inflammation of the nasal mucosa.
- Acute coronary disease, coronary asthma, hyperthyroidism, angle-closure glaucoma.
- Concomitant treatment MAO inhibitors and within 2 weeks of discontinuation of their use.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is applied nasally. Before using the drug should thoroughly clean the nasal cavity. The latter application is recommended immediately before bedtime.
Nasal drops 0.0 5% (one drop contains 0.025 mg ksilometazolina hydrochloride) used in children aged 1 year.
Children aged 1 to 5 years (under adult supervision): 1-2 drops in each nostril 1-2 times a day, but no more than 3 times in each nostril daily.
Children aged 6 to 11 years (under adult supervision): 2-4 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day.
