Fluconazole Indications
Dosage form: capsules
Adults
Treatment: cryptococcal meningitis; koktsydioyidoz;
Invasive candidiasis;
mucosal candidiasis including oropharyngeal candidiasis, oesophageal, chronic candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes; chronic atrophic candidiasis (candidiasis caused by dentures) after failure of local dental hygiene products;
Vaginal candidiasis, acute or recurrent when local therapy is not appropriate;
Candida balanitis when local therapy is not appropriate; ringworm, including athlete's foot, smooth skin, inguinal dermatomycosis, colorful versicolor, Candida skin infections when systemic therapy is not appropriate;
dermatofitnyy onychomycosis, as with other products is not appropriate.
Prevention: relapse of cryptococcal meningitis in patients with high risk of development; oropharyngeal candidiasis relapse or esophagus in patients with HIV with a high risk of development;
reduce recurrence of vaginal candidiasis (4 or more cases per year); prophylaxis of Candida infections in patients with prolonged neutropenia (such as patients with malignant blood diseases receiving chemotherapy or patients with transplant of hematopoietic stem cells).
Children
Treatment: cryptococcal meningitis; mucosal candidiasis; invasive candidiasis.
Prevention: prevention of Candida infections in patients with reduced immunity.
The product can be used as maintenance therapy to prevent relapse of cryptococcal meningitis in children with high risk of development.
Therapy can be started before the results of culture and other laboratory tests; after the results of antibacterial treatment should be adjusted accordingly.
