Erythromycin Indications
Respiratory tract infections, including SARS, infection of upper respiratory tract (tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis),
purulent-inflammatory diseases of the skin and its appendages, erythrasma, diphtheria, gonorrhea, syphilis, listeriosis,
infections in dentistry and ophthalmology, infections caused by microorganisms resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics, penicillin, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, chloramphenicol, streptomycin.
Contraindications
· Increased sensitivity to erythromycin or any component of the drug to macrolides
· Severe hepatic insufficiency
· Concomitant use of terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride or pimozide, ergotamine and dihydroergotamine
Features of the application
Before using erythromycin, a detailed patient history should collected, regarding hypersensitivity reaction to erythromycin, other macrolide or other allergens. If the application of erythromycin developing hypersensitivity reactions, you should immediately stop using the product and start symptomatic treatment.
