Urinary tract infections: pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, epididymitis; prevention of infections in a variety of interventions (catheterization, cystoscopy, surgery on the kidney and the urogenital tract).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, cataracts, optic neuritis, polyneuritis, pregnancy, lactation, chronic renal failure (oligo, anuria), liver failure, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
Side effects
Dyspepsia (nausea, vomiting), allergic reactions (skin rash); tachycardia, ataxia, headache, paresthesia, polyneuropathy, liver function abnormalities.
Dosage & Administration
Inside, during or after meals, 100 mg four times a day for 2-3 weeks. If necessary, you can continue to receive by intermittent pattern - 2 weeks per month. The maximum daily dose - 800 mg. The average dose for children of school age is 200-400 mg / day. Children under 5 years prescribe a dose of 200 mg / day, divided into 4 doses. For the prevention of infections in kidney and urinary tract operations - 100 mg 4 times daily for 2-3 weeks.
Special instructions: During the treatment urine can be of yellow with red colore.
