Dosage & Administration
The drug is given to patients in whom blood pressure is not controlled by just one enalapril. The use of a fixed combination of enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide is not suitable for initial therapy and is usually recommended after dosage adjustment of individual components, but the clinical feasibility can immediately move from monotherapy to treat this drug combination.
Dosage and regime are established individually depending on the patient and the severity of hypertension. Treatment should be started at low doses with gradual increase in dosage. Daily dose should be taken in the morning along with plenty of fluids.
