Glimax Indications

Insulin type II diabetes when blood sugar levels can not be adequately maintain only diet, exercise and weight loss.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to glimepiride or any components of the preparation to sulfonylureas or other sulfonamides. Insulin type I diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic coma, severe renal failure and liver.

In the case of severe renal impairment or hepatic need to transfer the patient to therapy with insulin.

Dosage & Administration

Successful diabetes treatment depends on patient compliance proper diet, regular physical activity, as well as continuous monitoring of glucose levels in blood and urine. Failure to patients diets do not offset taking tablets or insulin. The drug is used for adults. Tablets should be swallowed without chewing, drinking liquid.

Dosage depends on the content of glucose in the blood serum and urine. Usually HlymaksÒ used 1 time per day. The drug is recommended to take just before or during a hearty breakfast or lunch if not, shortly before or during the first main meal. If missed once the drug should not increase the dose the next administration.
