Doxorubicin Indications
- acute and chronic leucosis
- Hodgkin's disease
- non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
- osteosarcoma
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to doxorubicin or other components of the drug, other anthracyclines or anthracen- dions.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding period.
Dosage & Administration
Doxorubicin should not be administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, orally or intrathecally.
Doxorubicin is administered intravenously and intraarterially or as intravaginal instillation.
Doxorubicin can not be used as an antibacterial agent.
The total dose of doxorubicin per cycle may be different, depending on the treatment regimen
(for example, in monotherapy or in combination with other cytotoxic drugs) and indications.
