Dexamethasone Indications

Acute and chronic purulent inflammatory and allergic diseases of the eye: conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, uveitis, keratitis without epithelial damage, iritis, iridocyclitis, episcleritis, scleritis, prevention of scar tissue formation after eye injuries or surgical interventions, thermal or chemical eye burns.

Dosage & Administration

Bottle is protected with opening control. The first application is necessary to turn the cap by separating it from the protection ring.

The bottle has a special configuration, thanks to which the metered release of p-ra on the principle of a pressure on the bottom of the "one click - one drop." The rigidity of the bottle walls significantly reduces the possibility of release of the drug jet - a common cause of eye drops overdose.

Adults instilled into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye by lightly pressing on the wall of the vial 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day. In acute inflammatory and allergic conditions instilled 1-2 drops every 1-2 hours, after reducing the severity of symptoms of acute inflammation - 1-2 drops every 4-6 hours course of treatment usually is 7-10 days.

After injury or operations starting from the 8th day after surgery or after trauma, instilled 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day for 7-10 days. After filtering antiglaucoma surgery drug use the day of surgery or the day after.

Contradictions

- increased sensitivity to dexamethasone and other corticosteroids or any other components of the drug;

- tree herpetic keratitis and other viral diseases of the eye;

- bacterial and / or fungal infections without the appropriate antibiotics;

- damage and ulcerative processes of the cornea;

- open-angle-closure glaucoma;

- suppression of immune function caused by disease or medication.
