Biprolol Indications
· Hypertension;
· Coronary heart disease (angina);
· Chronic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in combination with ACE inhibitors, diuretics, if necessary - cardiac glycosides.
Contraindications
· Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or to other components of the drug;
· Acute heart failure or heart failure in a phase of decompensation requiring intravenous inotropic therapy;
· Cardiogenic shock;
· AV-block II and III degree (except for patients with artificial pacemaker);
· Sinus syndrome;
· Expressed sinoatrial block;
· Symptomatic bradycardia (heart rate less than 50 beats / min at baseline);
· Symptomatic hypotension (systolic blood pressure below 90 mm Hg. Art.);
· Severe violations of peripheral blood or Raynaud's disease;
· Severe asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;
· Metabolic acidosis;
· Untreated pheochromocytoma.
Dosage & Administration
The drug take 1 per day without chewing, drink some liquid irrespective of food intake, preferably in the morning.
Arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease (angina).
The recommended dose is 5 mg (1 tablet of the drug at 5 mg).
When hypertension second degree (diastolic blood pressure to 105 mmHg) at initiation of treatment should use a dose of 2.5 mg (1/2 tablets of 5 mg). If necessary, the daily dose may be increased to 10 mg (1 tablet of 10 mg of the drug).
Change and dose adjustment physician determines individually, depending on the patient.
The maximum daily dose - 20 mg per day.
