Exemestan Indications
Adjuvant therapy (women) with invasive breast cancer early stages with positive breakdown on estrogen receptors in the postmenopausal period after 2-3 years of initial adjuvant therapy with tamoxifen.
Treatment of widespread breast cancer (women) with natural or induced postmenopausal status, which detected progression of the disease after antiestrogen therapy. There was no demonstrated efficacy in patients with a negative test on estrogen receptors.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to exemestane or to any other component of the drug;
premenopausal period;
pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Dosage & Administration
Exemestan Grindex should be taken at 25 mg (1 tablet) once a day on a daily basis, preferably after eating.
In patients with breast cancer in the early stages of treatment, exemestane should be continued until the completion of 5 years of consistent adjuvant hormonal therapy or until tumor recurrence occurs.
Exemestan treatment for patients with common breast cancer should be continued until progression of the tumor is evident.
