Betalmic Indications
Reduction of intraocular pressure in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (as monotherapy or in combination with other drugs).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the drug;
- Corneal degenerative changes;
- Reactive airway disease including severe bronchial asthma or a history of severe asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;
- Sinus bradycardia; weakness syndrome / sinus node dysfunction; dysfunction atrial sinus node sinoatrial block; atrioventricular block II and III degree of weight without artificial pacemaker;
- Cardiogenic shock;
- Severe heart failure.
Dosage & Administration
The exact dosage and duration of treatment is always determined by the physician. The recommended dose is 1 drop drug Betalmic 0.5% in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (eyes) with interval of 12 hours twice a day. If the application recommended dose intraocular pressure patients not adequately controlled, can be used concomitant therapy with pilocarpine and inhibitors of carbonic anhydrase, or analogues of prostaglandins.
