Water for Injections
Water for injections is used to prepare sterile solutions of medicinal and diagnostic agents for subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous administration.
Contradictions
Water for injections as a solvent for medical and diagnostic preparations should not be used if another solvent is indicated in the instructions for medical use of the preparation. Do not apply eye drops during ophthalmic surgery.
Dosage & Administration
Preparation of solutions of medicinal and diagnostic means using water for injection is carried out under aseptic conditions (opening of ampoules, filling with syringe water and containers with medicinal products).
The amount of water for injection in order to prepare a solution of a medicinal product is determined by the instructions for medical use of the latter.
