Tulip Indications
To reduce total cholesterol, LDL-C, Apo B, and TG in combination with diet therapy for patients with:
- primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-hereditary hypercholesterolemia);
- mixed hyperlipidemia (type IIa and IIb according to the classification according to Fredrickson dyslipidemia);
- hypertriglyceridemia (type IV according to dyslipidemia according to Fredrickson classification);
- disbetalipoproteinemiey (type III according to the classification according to Fredrickson dyslipidemia) with poor diet;
- homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in children (10-17 years).
Dosage & Adminsitration
Before treatment is necessary to determine the level of hypercholesterolemia in compliance with appropriate diet, exercise, and assign actions to reduce body weight in obese patients, and conduct treatment of other diseases.
The dose is determined individually, depending on the level of LDL cholesterol, treatment objectives and its effectiveness. The recommended initial dose of the drug Tulip is 10 mg 1 time per day, regardless of meals. If necessary, increase the dose gradually at intervals of ≥4 weeks. The maximum daily dose is 80 mg.

Primary hypercholesterolaemia and combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia
For most patients, the usual dose is 10 mg 1 time per day. The therapeutic effect was observed within 2 weeks, maximum - after 4 weeks. The effect of treatment is achieved by long-term treatment.
Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia
Treatment started with a dose of 10 mg 1 time per day. Dose picked individually and gradually increased every 4 weeks to 40 mg 1 time per day. Thereafter, the dose can be increased to 80 mg 1 time per day.
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia
The daily dosage for patients with homozygous hypercholesterolemia is 10-80 mg.
Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in children (10-17 years). It is recommended to appoint Tulip in an initial dose of 10 mg 1 time a day every day. The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg 1 time a day every day (doses greater than 20 mg have not been studied in patients in this age group). The dose may be changed in accordance with the purpose of therapy, dose adjustment may be carried out at intervals of ≥4 weeks.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation. Liver disease in its active phase, increased transaminases in plasma levels of 3 times; Skeletal muscle disease. During pregnancy and breastfeeding. Children under 10 years old.
