Dosage & Administration
Adults. Take pills inside without chewing, drinking water before a meal, preferably at the same time.
Dose and duration of treatment is determined individually depending on the therapeutic effect obtained.
Tenorik not suitable for initial therapy of hypertension. The drug is prescribed in case of failure of the application alone.
Typically, the initial dose of the drug Tenorik - 1 tablet of 50 mg / 12.5 mg 1 time per day. With insufficient therapeutic effect Tenorik appoint 1 tablet of 100 mg / 25 mg 1 time per day. The majority of patients with hypertension use 1 tablet Tenorik (atenolol 100 mg and chlorthalidone 25 mg), 1 per day provides a sufficient therapeutic effect. With increasing doses of a further decrease in blood pressure, or does not, or is only slightly, but other antihypertensive agents can be further assigned as needed.
Elderly patients - 50 mg / 12.5 mg. In the absence of adequate control of hypertension can be further assigned to other antihypertensive agents.

Contradictions
Severe sinus bradycardia, AV-blockade II-III degree, cardiogenic shock, decompensated chronic heart failure.

The drug is contraindicated in patients receiving verapamil for 48 hours; pregnancy and breastfeeding; childhood.
