Solcoseryl INDICATIONS
- mechanical damage to the cornea and conjunctiva (erosion, trauma), to accelerate the healing process of the section of the cornea and conjunctiva in the postoperative period (after keratoplasty, cataract extraction, glaucoma surgery, laser correction of refraction and other.);
- chemical (caused by the action of acids and alkalis), thermal, radiation (caused by the action of ultraviolet, X-ray and other short-wavelength radiation), corneal burns;
- corneal ulcer, keratitis (bacterial, viral, fungal etiology) epithelialization stage in combination with antibiotics, antiviral and antifungal agents;
- corneal dystrophy of various origins (neuroparalytic, lagoftalmichesky keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, bullous keratitis);
to shorten the adaptation period to the wearing of hard and soft contact lenses as well as improve their portability.
APPLICATION
Instilled 3-4 times daily 1 drop of gel into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. In severe cases, ophthalmic gel can be instilled every hour.
To speed adaptation hard contact lens ophthalmic gel can drip directly onto the lens surface before wearing it and into the conjunctival sac after lens removal. To adapt to the soft contact lens is recommended to bury Solkoseril 1 time at night after removing contact lens.
Tube should be closed immediately after use.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Solcoseryl eye gel contains the preservative benzalkonium and trace amounts of para-hydroxybenzoates (E216 and E218) and the free benzoic acid (E210), which should be considered when administering the drug to patients allergic to these compounds.
SIDE EFFECTS
In rare cases, it may be a temporary burning sensation, which does not require discontinuation of treatment; in susceptible individuals - the allergic reaction.
