Signicef Indications

Local treatment of eye infections caused by pathogens susceptible to levofloxacin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or to any other drug.

Dosage & Administration

Apply to children aged 1 year and adults.

During the first 2 days of onset instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye (eyes) every 2 hours to 8 times a day; then from the 3rd to 5th day - in the same dosage, number of applications is reduced to 4 times a day.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of lesions, clinical and bacteriological disease. Usually the treatment period is 5 days.

Application method. Reject head back gently with finger, take off lower eyelid of the affected eye make 1-2 drops of the drug and close your eyes. In 1-2 minutes a finger to press the inner edge of the eye to prevent the drug to the tear ducts and reducing the possibility of the drug into the systemic circulation. Do not blink. Remains of the drug around the eye remove with a clean cloth, avoiding contact with the eye.

To prevent contamination of the dropper tip it should not contact the eyelids or around the eye area.

In a parallel application of different local ophthalmic drugs interval between doses should be at least 15 minutes.
