Sermion Indications

- post-stroke conditions,

- vascular dementia,

- degenerative conditions associated with dementia (senile and presenile dementia Alzheimer's type dementia in Parkinson's disease).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to NICERGOLINE to ergot alkaloids or to any other component of the drug. Recently transferring myocardial infarction, acute bleeding, orthostatic hypotension, severe bradycardia.
Simultaneous treatment with sympathomimetic (agonists, alpha or beta receptors).

Dosage & Administration

The recommended daily dose - 1 tablet 1 or 2 times a day (30-60 mg). Typically the daily dose for adults is 30 mg. Temporarily it can be increased to 60 mg.

In the case of vascular disorders of the eye or inner ear recommended dose is

* 15 mg - 30 mg per day. The drug should be taken in the morning before the main meal without chewing it and drank the liquid.

According to the research of pharmacokinetics and tolerability in elderly patients dose adjustment conduct is required.

Because renal excretion is the main route output NICERGOLINE and its metabolites (80%) patients with impaired renal function (serum creatinine ≥ 2%) is recommended to reduce the dose.

The effect of the drug is increasing gradually. Therefore, the drug should be used for a long time. It is desirable that the doctor every 6 months and evaluated the effect of taking a decision on whether to continue the drug.
