Flu treatment
The drug is indicated for adults and children 1 year of age who have symptoms of influenza while circulating influenza virus. Efficacy was demonstrated when treatment was started within 2 days of the first onset of symptoms.
Flu prevention
- prevention of influenza in adults and children aged 1 year after contact with a person with clinically diagnosed influenza during influenza virus circulation;
- appropriate use of the drug for the prevention of influenza should be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the circumstances and the group of patients in need of protection. In exceptional situations (for example, in the event of a discrepancy between the influenza virus circulating and the influenza virus being vaccinated and during the pandemic), seasonal prophylaxis may be carried out in persons from 1 year of age.
Application method
For oral use.
Dosage
The drug at a dose of 75 mg can be used as:
- 1 capsule of 75 mg or
- 1 capsule of 30 mg plus one capsule of 45 mg.
Adults and teens from the age of 13
Treatment. The recommended dosage regimen is 1 capsule 75 mg 2 times per day orally for 5 days to adults and adolescents (≥13 - <18 years) with a body weight greater than 40 kg.
Treatment should be started on the first or second day of onset of flu symptoms.
Prevention after contact. The recommended dose of the drug for the prevention of influenza after exposure to influenza patients - 75 mg once a day orally for 10 days to adults and adolescents (≥13 - <18 years) with a body weight greater than 40 kg. The drug should be started no later than the first 2 days after contact.
Prevention during the seasonal influenza epidemic. The recommended dose for prevention during a seasonal influenza epidemic is 75 mg once a day for 6 weeks.
