Risperon Indications
The treatment of schizophrenia and other mental disorders, including maintenance therapy in patients with observed response to therapy to prevent relapse of disease;
- Treatment of manic episodes in bipolar disorder (adjunctive therapy in combination with normotymikamy as initial treatment or as a monotherapy for the period up to 12 weeks);
- Short-term treatment of severe aggression or severe psychiatric symptoms in patients with dementia with the existence of a threat of harm to themselves or others;
- Symptomatic treatment daring oppositional disorders or other disorders of social behavior in children, adolescents and adults with mental development below average mental retardation or who have signs of destructive behavior (impulsivity, autoagression);
- Symptomatic treatment of autistic disorder in children aged 5 years who have symptoms ranging from hyperactivity to irritation (including aggression, a job injuries, anxiety and abnormal cyclical action).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to risperidone or to any excipient of the drug.
Dosage & Administration
The usual dose
Risperon can use 1 or 2 times a day. Doses greater than 8 mg should be divided into
2 hours (morning and evening).
To achieve 0,25-2,5 mg dose recommended risperidone oral solution in the form.
Schizophrenia
Adults (aged 65 years)
Risperon be administered 1-2 times per day.
Reception should start with 2 mg Risperon a day, the second day the dose can be increased to
4 mg. At this dose can be maintained unchanged or, if necessary, continue individual dose adjustment. For most patients, the recommended dose is 4-6 mg per day. Some patients may be shown a gradual increase in dosage or reduced initial dose.
The maximum daily dose is 10 mg.
Manic episodes at bipolar disorder (adults and children aged 10 years).
The recommended starting dose Risperon - 2 1 mg once daily in the evening. The dose can be individually increased by adding 1 mg / day, no more than every 24 hours. The recommended dose range - 2 to 6 mg per day.
